An unknown sport

Rowing, as a sport, has been created in the early 18th century, and it's a sport where you are in a boat and by pushing against the water with an oar, a force is generated to move the boat. The first competition of this sport is on Thames in 1715. It have been popularised with the academic competitions in england, with the famous yearly match Oxford versus Cambridge, named The Boat Race, and created in the early 19th, more precisely in 1829. This event has been followed by more than 500million spectators at TV in 2004. It's been the 165th edition this sunday and cambridge won, for the 85th time.
