Will brexit happen?

As you know, the United Kingdom is divided. On one side, government with Theresa May wanted to leave the European Union. On the other side, a big part of the British population wants to do an other referendum in order to stay in EU.

Last weekend, more than one million people protested in London. In fact that was one of the biggest demonstrations in London. A petition in England against brexit was signed by more than 5 million people. So the European government postponed referendum after this event to may 22th.

Recently, MP took the situation by voting new laws which give them more power on the situation.

We can conclude that the government heard the voice of the citizens even if the situation of the UK is not totally certain.

To our mind, brexit is a very important problem for England government, MP, citizens but also government of EU. We hope the situation will be better soon and that the decisions about brexit will don't have any repercussion on France.

We believe that Brexit, particularly a hard Brexit, is a real catastrophe for the UK. We are especially concerned about Ireland, because a No Deal could cause a civil war on the island. We hope and pray for this to never happen, even though we worry a lot about this eventuality...

Jeanne and Benjamin
